 In an effort to get some football time in their legs, Ramsbottom United have organised a match against Radcliffe Borough at The Cliff Training Ground on Tuesday evening (12 January) at 7pm. After four weeks of no on-the-field action, Bernard and Jonno have tried in vein to get a number of friendlies, with games against FC United. But they finally got a match against Ashton United on Saturday, also at The Cliff, where we lost 7-6 in a ten-a-side encounter despite leading 6-5 when the referee - our own John Hunter - added five minutes of additional time (obviously getting carried away in the surroundings !!!) and allowed the Unibond Premier outfit to pinch the win. However, it was more about the activity and the run-out for the road-rusty players and with hope that Saturday's game at Squires Gate might beat the weather, it is another opportunity to get minutes into the legs. Spectators are welcome to come along to The Cliff to watch the game against our local rivals from the Unibond North Division. Kick off is at 7pm. Share this article
